Service Applications Engineer – Building Automation Systems

Our Client, a leader in Building Automation Controls Systems is seeking an experienced BAS Service Application Engineer to add to their growing Service and Support team. The purpose of this position is to deliver the final line of support for issues in the BAS/HVAC/and related technology space. Service Applications Engineers (SAEs) on this team use industry knowledge to deliver technical expertise – networking, sequencing and programming of BAS systems – to solve issues from current clients. This is a customer facing role that involves NO TRAVEL and is 100% work from home. The position pays in the $100K-$105K range based on experience and location, includes a 14%+ annual bonus program, and a strong benefit program. Company headquarters are located in Wisconsin but this role can be based at any home office location in the US.

The key to this role is solid experience in the BAS/BMS space with a high experience level in technology – BAS networking, sequencing and programming – SAEs will use Tridium/Niagara software to troubleshoot control databases, user interfaces and solve and close technology related issues. This role works with a remote team to bring finality to all issues across a nationwide client base. Incumbents of this role will also:

Provide remote technical support as the final line of defense in troubleshooting BAS related issues.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues directly with clients.
Modify technology as needed, update it with client system and relay information directly to client.
Work with numerous technology platform to reprogram and solve issues.
Program logic using flow diagrams, sequences of operation, troubleshoot panel layouts, diagnose networking issues and close issues with clients.
Program control applications using various software tools to support operator workstations, DDC field panels and third-party integration devices connected through multiple communications protocols.
Repair system user interfaces, according to project specifications.
Deliver remote end user training and update for the use of the installed system.
Perform advanced system analysis and diagnostics.
Determine corrective action to restore systems to proper operating condition.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the BAS Engineering realm
3+ years programming and working with BAS related software – Tridium/Niagara preferred
3+ years Device Programming with any of the following:
Knowledge of HVAC System Sequences including Rooftop / Air Handling / Central Plants
Ability to understand visual block programming
Strong communication skills and customer service attitude towards solving technical problems and communicating with clients.
