Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Mid-level Satcom Network Engineer to help design, modernize and sustain secure DoD networks in a mission-focused environment. You will apply routing, switching, encryption gear, and architecture knowledge to improve reliability and interoperability across mission systems.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, a Secret clearance, and at least a HS diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s in Engineering/IT/Cyber and CCNA/CCNP/Security+ are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of network configuration, troubleshooting, or engineering support.
• Experience with routing and switching technologies and Layer 2/3 protocols.
• Knowledge of cryptographic equipment, network security, and firewall implementations.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and hold Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modernize, and sustain secure, resilient network capabilities for the DoD.
• Participate in implementation planning, technical reviews, testing, and upgrades.
• Apply network design/architecture knowledge, OSI concepts, and interoperability.
• Support enterprise-wide modernization and evolution of DoD networks.
