Job summary

Langate is seeking a Middle engineer to join the team modernising a large US e-commerce platform in the durable medical equipment and mobility space. The role focuses on .NET/C# backend with ASP.NET Core and Angular frontend, migrating from ColdFusion to a modern .NET/Angular/Azure stack.

You will contribute to migration work, API integrations, and the new Order Management System while ensuring code quality and tests. Remote-friendly with NY time overlap for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial experience in .NET development, including C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Good experience with Angular and TypeScript, including developing and maintaining frontend components.
• Experience working with REST APIs, backend services, and integrations between frontend and backendsystems.
• Understanding of SQL databases, data modeling, and writing optimized queries.
• Familiarity with legacy system modernization and working with existing codebases.
• Basic practical experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based applications.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, branching strategies, and standard development workflows.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests; understanding of the testing pyramid.
• Basic knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices; PCI-DSS a plus.
• Ability to clarify requirements with the team and ask relevant questions when unclear.
• Willingness to use AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency.
• Upper-intermediate English or higher with ability to communicate with international colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features across the Angular storefront and the .NET backend.
• Contribute to migrating legacy ColdFusion e-commerce platform to the modern stack.
• Implement and support integrations with existing systems and services.
• Participate in the development of the new Order Management System.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable production code; investigate and fix bugs across frontend and backend.
• Clarify requirements directly with the people who have the answers and estimate tasks.
• Work with Azure-based environments and CI/CD pipelines following engineering standards.
• Use AI coding assistants responsibly for prototyping, development, debugging and delivery efficiency.
