Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking a Rating Specialist to support New Business and Renewal transactions across Middle Market and Specialty Lines in our US offices.

The role involves data gathering, manual rating where needed, and close collaboration with underwriters and specialists to ensure timely and accurate pricing decisions. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Typically, at least 3 years of multi-line Commercial Specialty lines or prior Rating/ Underwriting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming business transactions for completeness, accuracy and quality with underwriting partners.
• Perform rating to support New or Renewal quotes across multiple lines.
• Gather data from third parties and applications to feed predictive modeling tools used in pricing decisions.
• Identify workflow needs and contribute to guideline improvements for accuracy.
• Respond to policy service requests for various complexity levels across lines.
• Support less experienced peers as a resource and perform additional duties as assigned.
