Job summary

Emigrant Capital is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join the Investment Team in Midtown Manhattan. You will support the deal cycle from screening and due diligence to execution and portfolio value creation, collaborating with bankers, lenders and advisors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 1–2 years in finance, strong modeling, due diligence and communication skills, and a high level of initiative in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution.
• 1–2 years of related experience with meaningful financial modeling background.
• Completion of a formal financial training program is a plus.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling and due diligence skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; autonomous work style.
• High integrity, intellectual curiosity, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the ECC deal team.
• Prepare internal and external presentations, reports, and investment memos.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and analyses for opportunities and portfolio companies.
• Evaluate prospective investments including industry, financial and business due diligence.
• Interact with third-party advisors including investment bankers, lenders, lawyers and due diligence advisors.
• Support value creation initiatives at existing portfolio companies.
