Job summary

Soul Equity Solutions, a middle-market private equity firm with offices in Chicago and the Washington D.C. metro area, is seeking an Associate to support senior investment professionals in sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management within a collaborative, dynamic culture.

You will create financial models, prepare investment memos, perform industry research, coordinate third-party diligence, and assist with portfolio monitoring.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking or private equity.
• Undergraduate degree is required.
• Lower middle-market experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Financial analysis: Create financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values.
• Investment approval materials: Prepare memos and other approval materials for the Investment Committee.
• Industry research: Conduct research on market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, key competitors, etc.
• Third party diligence: Facilitate diligence activities with third-party partners (e.g., senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, strategy consultants).
• Portfolio management: Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies.
