Job summary

IMA Financial Group, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to serve as the day-to-day contact for a mid-market book of business.

You will coordinate renewal materials, partner with the Account Executive on client interactions and program design, and help with onboarding. The role requires a P&C license and at least two years of experience, strong organization and communication, and ability to work with underwriters and carriers.

Qualifications

• P&C license is required or actively pursuing
• Minimum of two years in Commercial Lines
• Experience with data management and data completeness standards
• Strong organizational and independent work abilities
• Ability to build relationships with underwriters and clients
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Travel up to 20% depending on book of business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor and client-focused mindset
• Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day contact for client requests within a book of business
• Prepare renewal materials (premium, loss summaries, exposures) and coordinate with Account Executive
• Partner with AE on client interactions, negotiations, and program design
• Support onboarding of new clients
• Develop proactive communication to anticipate problems with clients or underwriters
• Create marketing submissions and manage negotiations with carriers
• Receive quotes, review for accuracy and coverage, and prepare proposals
• Process policy instructions and coordinate with COE on changes
• Handle premium allocations, certificates, endorsements, and policy audits
