User Research International in NYC is seeking a mid-level UX Researcher to join the product team for an on-site, contract role. You will conduct usability studies, concept tests, and prototype evaluations, delivering actionable insights and influencing product direction.

Applicants should have 4–7 years in user research, strong HCI/experimental design knowledge, and proven ability to run rapid cycles. The role is in-office 3 days a week in NYC.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of industry work experience in user research in tech/product environments.
• Strong knowledge of human-computer interaction, experimental design, and qualitative data analysis.
• Experience with rapid-cycle usability studies and testing early product builds.
• Ability to generate research plans and define UX metrics at pace.

Responsabilités

• Execute multiple phases of user research: planning, scoping, moderating, analysis, reporting.
• Develop participant screeners to identify profiles and recruit suitable participants.
• Moderate study sessions and write detailed, actionable reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure findings influence design and engineering workflows.
