Job summary

M Booth & Associates in New York is seeking a mid-level Video Editor & Motion Animator who can pace, tell stories, and cut high-performing short-form videos for TikTok and YouTube Shorts, while supporting other channels.

Under the Art Director, you’ll blend social-native typography and motion with brand guidelines, manage audio and captions for accessibility, and collaborate in a sprint-based team to deliver timely campaigns.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional video editing and motion graphics in an agency or brand.
• Portfolio showing high-performing organic vertical video content (TikTok/Shorts).
• Strong proficiency in post-production workflows and color/audio basics.

Responsibilities

• Edit high-retention vertical videos for TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
• Design and animate platform-native overlays, kinetic typography, and transitions.
• Stretch brand guidelines into creator-style visuals for organic feeds.
• Source and blend trending audio, SFX, and voiceovers.
• Ensure accessibility with captions and safe-framing layouts.
• Polish assets for existing channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, X).
• Collaborate in sprint-based teamwork with Art Directors and Strategists.
• Brainstorm and develop creative solutions for campaigns.
• Produce motion requests and meet strict deadlines.
• Articulate creative choices to designers, accounts, and clients.
• Stay current on trends and platform specs.
