Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Technical Editor (Mid-Level) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Defense Intelligence Enterprise. The role is the last line of quality for intelligence products, sharpening logic and clarity while enforcing agency style and classification standards.

This position is contingent upon award of contract and security clearance verification. Work involves reviewing products for proper grammar, logic, and style, and coordinating with authors to revise for optimal narrative

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years editing experience, with recent work in the last 2 years.
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and knowledge of IC/DoD classification guidance.

Responsibilities

• Review intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, syntax, and for logic, clarity, and consistency.
• Ensure style and format conform to agency standards and specialized vocabularies.
• Amend draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to align with text.
• Ensure proper classification markings per IC guidance on every product.
• Collaborate with authors to revise for narrative organization and completeness.
