Job summary

SpatialGIS in Tysons, VA is seeking a detail-driven Mid-Level Systems Engineer to manage the applications infrastructure, ensure security compliance, and automate critical IT tasks in a 24/7 environment.

You will own system design, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting across OS and application software, collaborating with developers and cross-functional teams to improve reliability and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in systems engineering, testing, or DevOps roles.
• CI/CD & Pipelines: Proven experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
• Technical Stack: Strong working knowledge of Jenkins, Linux/Unix environments, version control (Git), and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Methodology & Education: Familiarity with Agile development practices paired with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).

You will own the system design, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of operating systems, application software, and management tools. Operating in a dynamic environment, you will collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency through automation, robust security, and disaster recovery strategies, while fulfilling a contractually required role in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
