Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field, or equivalent, required.
• 4–9 years MBSE/Systems Engineering experience and strong systems-thinking mindset.
• Experience with SysML modeling and presenting analyses to review boards.
• Familiarity with Cameo Enterprise Architecture / Systems Modeler and MOSA principles.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and apply MBSE best practices.

Position Description

The successful candidate performs MBSE analysis, verification, and validation of system models for modularity, interoperability, and intended-use fidelity. The Mid-Level Systems Engineer executes analyses, confidently presents findings to the Configuration Architecture Board (CAB), adheres to MOSA standards and configuration-management governance established by the Chief MBSE Architect, and mentors junior engineers. This role reports to the Chief MBSE Architect and requires a strong systems-thinking mindset.

Responsibilities Include

• Presents analyses, findings, and recommendations confidently to the Configuration Architecture Board (CAB)
• Adheres to and applies MOSA standards and configuration-management governance set by the Chief MBSE Architect
• Mentors junior engineers in MBSE modeling and analysis skills
• Applies systems-thinking and MBSE best practices throughout the validation lifecycle

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or other relevant STEM field, or equivalent, required

Experience Requirements

• 4-9 years of MBSE/Systems Engineering experience.
• Demonstrated systems-thinking mindset
• SysML modeling experience
• Familiarity with Cameo (Cameo Enterprise Architecture / Systems Modeler)
• Familiarity with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles
• Ability to present analyses confidently to a review board/CAB
• Willingness to mentor junior engineers

Special Skills Desired

• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to assess model modularity and intended use fidelity
• Familiarity with IBM DOORS
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, and Git
• Familiarity with Radar / RF / Missile-Defense domain (augmented by RF/Radar SME support)
