Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level System Engineer to join our intel team in the Baltimore area. The role emphasizes Linux engineering/administration, troubleshooting, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.

Required TS/SCI with polygraph, 7 years SE experience, and a related bachelor’s degree (or 5 years substitution). CWIP I/II required; Atlassian tools experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI with polygraph.
• 7+ years experience as a SE in similar programs.
• Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years may substitute for degree.
• CWIP Level I; Level II within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements, OPs documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Lead design and development activities.
• Guide users in formulating requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
• Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Develop technical documentation and system architecture/design documentation.
• Guide planning for system engineering management plans and test plans.
• Interact with Government regarding SE considerations and issues.
• Maintain technical integrity of SE work and deliverables.
• Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and executives.

Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level System Engineer (SE) to join our intel team.This SE will require a good background in Linux engineering/administration and troubleshooting and the ability to work both as part of a team as well as independently (self-motivated).

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Seven (7) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• CWIP Level I required at start; Level II required within 6 months.

Candidates are required to have the following skills:

• Linux systems administration experience - must be comfortable with command line, troubleshooting
• Windows Server
• Virtualization - VMWare
• Puppet Experience, or able to learn quickly
• SSP Support - scanning, patching, keeping documentation up to date and support ATO activities
• Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
• Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
• Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
• Develops technical documentation.
• Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
• Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
• Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
• Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
• Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Salary Range: $105,000 to $200,000
