Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Mid-Level SQL Server Database Administrator to support SQL Server platforms. The role is located in Washington, D.C. and will be fully remote within the United States.

The DBA will install, configure, and support SQL Server instances across dev, test, and production environments, build T‑SQL scripts and procedures, and perform routine maintenance including backups, patching, and DR drills. Collaboration with development, QA, and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–8 years of relevant database experience.
• Minimum 4 years SQL Server administration experience.
• Solid experience with SQL Server instances, T-SQL scripting, SQL Clustering, and HA/DR environments.
• Foundational experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, and MS Access.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
