Job summary

AV’s Specialized Exploitation & Targeting (SET) Department in Dayton, OH is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to support NASIC at Wright-Patterson AFB. You will maintain multiple codebases across Windows and Linux, building tools for data analysis used by warfighters and decision-makers.

The role requires strong web and service design, experience with Java, C++, Python, Go, and front-end tech (JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular/React).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• 4-8 years of software design, development, testing, and debugging.
• Solid foundation in web/service-based design and programming.
• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5; libraries such as Angular or React.
• Knowledge of Java, C++, Python, and Go.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL.
• Experience deploying containerized software and Kubernetes.
• Strong git version control practices.
• Experience in test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain existing code bases on Windows and Linux.
• Participating in software design meetings and reviews.
• Working with other software developers in a team environment.
• Implementing unit tests and participating in functional test plan execution.
