Program Overview

The mission of the program is to safeguard the financial system from illicit use, combat money laundering and its related crimes including terrorism. It also promotes national security through the strategic use of financial authorities and the collection, analysis, and dissemination of financial intelligence.

About The Role

We are hiring! Peraton is looking for a Mid-Level Software Developer. The qualified candidate will join our highly performing team supporting the FinCEN Program. This is a full-time remote position, with 4 hours of onboarding in Vienna, VA.

What you will do:

• Contribute to the migration and modernization of legacy applications to AWS cloud environments.
• Engage in the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment for cloud and on-premises solutions.
• Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes using tools like Git, Jenkins, and GitLab.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities, ensuring applications comply with security standards and documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to document and manage interface requirements, dependencies, and system integrations for seamless cloud transitions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Software engineering experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and J2EE.
• Extensive experience migrating applications to AWS, utilizing services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and related tools (Git, Jenkins, JIRA).
• Strong understanding of Linux environments, databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), and application servers (WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Tomcat).
• Must have US Citizenship and an active Secret Security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Developer Associate certification.
• Experience designing and implementing containerized architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.

Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000, based on experience and other factors.
