Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS seeks a Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineer (VE Studio/Simulation) in Orlando, FL to support training modernization for military personnel through a high-fidelity Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT). You will develop and integrate software with VE Studio/GL Studio on an Agile team, focusing on displays, interfaces, and data exchange with trainer systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, HMI Development, or related field.
Internships may be considered based on skills and experience.
U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement simulation software using DiSTI VE Studio for VMT functionality.
Create and maintain VE Studio-based displays, interface logic, and supporting components.
Support messaging, integration, and data exchange between trainer software and external systems.
Collaborate with software, systems, test, and hardware engineers to implement requirements and resolve defects.
Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, peer reviews, and status updates.
Analyze defects, troubleshoot software issues, and implement corrective actions.
