Job summary

OT Training Solutions LLC is seeking a hands-on Junior Systems Engineer to build, test, and support training and simulation systems at our DeBary, Florida location. You will work at the boundary between hardware and software, helping ensure reliable performance in both laboratory and field environments.

You will join engineers, technicians, instructors, and end users, performing assembly, integration, and acceptance testing, maintaining documentation, and assisting with upgrades and field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Hands-on experience assembling, integrating, testing, maintaining, or troubleshooting equipment combining hardware and software.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, electronics, cables, power supplies, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
• Experience with digital multimeters and diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with Windows-based systems, drivers, and basic diagnostics.
• Basic understanding of Ethernet/serial communications in simulators.
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically and document findings clearly.
• Strong communication with technical teams and customers in lab and field settings.

Responsibilities

• Support assembly, configuration, integration, installation, checkout, and maintenance of training and simulation systems.
• Integrate computers, electronics, displays, sensors, and simulation software.
• Troubleshoot simulator systems and isolate faults across hardware, software, cabling, and interfaces.
• Use schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to investigate problems.
• Use test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, analyzers) for diagnostics.
• Install and validate OS, drivers, firmware, and simulation software releases.
• Perform functional, integration, acceptance, regression, and verification testing.
• Support live training events and field service visits; respond to discrepancies.
• Document configurations, interfaces, test results, maintenance actions, and issues.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, instructors, and customers to resolve issues.
