Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Sensing Software Engineer (Mid level) in the Dayton, Ohio area for a contract-to-hire opportunity. You will develop remote sensing and OPIR processing capabilities, radiometric modeling, image calibration, and Python-based analytics pipelines.

Collaborating with astrodynamics and ML engineers, you will implement ML for anomaly detection and target identification, support orbital modeling, and maintain scalable development environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in remote sensing or image processing.
• Experience with software development in Python and scientific Python packages.
• Experience with large sensor datasets and ML frameworks.
• Experience with sensor phenomenology, radiometric calibration, or feature extraction.

Responsibilities

• Develop remote sensing and OPIR processing software.
• Implement radiometric modeling, sensor geometry, and image calibration.
• Build ML capabilities for anomaly detection, classification, and identification.
• Create Python analytics pipelines and support orbital modeling.
• Collaborate with astrodynamics and ML engineers to deliver integrated capabilities.
