Job summary

CFD Research Corporation seeks a Remote Sensing Software Engineer based in the Dayton, OH area for 100% onsite work. You will lead end-to-end remote sensing processing, develop imaging models, and apply ML techniques to fusion pipelines, targeting EO/IR missions.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility and US citizenship, with experience in Python/C++ and HPC/cloud environments. The position emphasizes scalable software architecture, multi-sensor fusion, and trajectory/kinematic analysis,

Qualifications

• 3–8+ years in remote sensing or GEOINT data exploitation.
• Experience with Python or other OO languages like C++/JavaScript.
• Understanding of enterprise software development best practices (Git, Linux, containerization, testing).
• Experience with ML systems for imagery processing, target detection, tracking, or classification.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM field.
• TS/SCI clearance or Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Architect end‑to‑end remote sensing processing systems for EO/IR missions.
• Develop radiometric and spectral response models.
• Implement ML‑based anomaly detection, behavior classification, and object discrimination frameworks.
• Design multi-sensor fusion pipelines using GEOINT, Radar, RF, and EO/IR data.
• Conduct trajectory estimation and 3D kinematic modeling and uncertainty quantification.
• Architect scalable computing solutions using Python, C++, CUDA, HPC clusters, or cloud platforms.
