Job summary

Softrams, a Tria Federal company, is seeking a Mid-level Security Engineer to support application modernization and the development and maintenance of required federal program security documentation and processes.

In this role, you will develop and maintain security operations, monitoring and management SOPs, monitoring and reporting vulnerabilities, and tracking, assessing, and reporting security risks across federal systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, technology, data science, statistics, analytics, or related field.
• At least 3 years of cybersecurity experience supporting a U.S. federal customer.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance.
• Experience with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and ATO processes.
• Proficiency with security tooling: Nessus, Burp Suite, ZAP, OWASP.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Hands-on scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for computer systems, networks, and information.
• Identify and define system security requirements.
• Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs.
• Prepare and document SOPs and protocols.
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security incidents and respond rapidly.
• Produce client-facing documentation of Proof of Concept or Vulnerability Exploitation.
• Maintain ATOs and all security documentation (SSP, CP, ISRA, tabletop exercises, PIA).
• Manage Splunk, AppOmni, and AWS integrations to completion.
