Job summary

SimTech, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Radar Engineer to join our Huntsville team. You will design, develop, integrate, and test radar systems for defense applications, applying advanced radar concepts and signal processing techniques.

The role requires 5+ years in radar engineering, strong C/C++/C# programming, and U.S. citizenship with active Secret clearance. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to architectural studies, testing, and product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in radar systems engineering or related defense/aerospace applications.
• Knowledge of radar system design, operation, integration, and performance analysis.
• Experience with missile seeker technologies, sensor systems, radar tracking, or related applications.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, and/or C#.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test radar systems and subsystems for missile seeker and defense applications.
• Apply radar engineering principles to evaluate architectures and transmitter designs.
• Develop and optimize radar waveform modulation techniques such as LFM, Barker codes, and BPSK.
• Implement radar signal processing algorithms including FFT, CFAR, Doppler processing, and target detection.
• Process I/Q data to generate Range/Doppler maps and signatures.
• Support modeling, simulation, testing, and performance trade studies.
• Conduct lab testing, system integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and signal processing issues to identify root causes.
• Develop software tools to support radar analysis and data collection.
• Analyze test data against requirements and modeling predictions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and prepare technical documentation.
• Stay current with radar technology advances and best practices.
