Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Mid-Level Software Quality Assurance Tester to validate Java-based applications hosted in AWS. You will design and execute manual and automated tests, develop reusable test components, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, accessible, and reliable releases.

The ideal candidate has hands-on AWS testing experience, strong automation skills, and the ability to interpret user stories and acceptance criteria within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a Bachelor's degree.
• Four years of experience in software quality assurance or related role.
• Hands-on experience testing Java-based web apps, APIs, data flows, and integrations.
• Experience creating and maintaining automated tests and reusable components.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document manual and automated testing in AWS.
• Translate user stories to test scenarios and execute end-to-end tests.
• Log defects with clear steps and reproduce results; support defect triage.
• Contribute to test framework, CI/CD quality gates, and release readiness.
