About the role
Our CLIENT is looking for a contract Product Manager to own the cruise booking funnel and cruise configuration. This role is focused helping guests configure their cruise selection (ie choosing a room, location on ship, and fare package) through to checkout. This role requires a mix of user empathy and conversion rate optimization tactics to identify where guests drop off and where friction lies in their journey to book a cruise.
Responsibilities for this role include analyze funnel and conversion data, formulating hypotheses based on your analysis, executing experiments to validate/invalidate your hypotheses, then scaling the winning experiments to all users. You'll work closely with a PM lead to deliver a roadmap throughout discovery and development, a UX designer on concepting and testing new test variants, a business analyst to resolve dependencies to delivery, and data analysts to support test design and measurement, and engineers deliver your backlog. We value execution-focused individuals where attention to detail, self-agency, and cross-team collaboration are critical to success.
What you'll do
- Own conversion performance for the cruise booking funnel, monitoring step-by-step progression and conversion rates using dashboards and ad hoc analysis.
- Identify optimization opportunities using quantitative and qualitative data (web analytics, session replay, error and friction signals, guest feedback), then size them and turn them into testable hypotheses that ladder up to overall product objectives.
- Run A/B tests end to end: write hypotheses, define primary metrics and guardrails, estimate sample size and test duration, coordinate setup and QA, and monitor tests while they run.
- Read out test results with statistical rigor and give clear recommendations to ship, iterate, or stop. Share learnings with stakeholders and keep a testing roadmap and results log.
- Measure the impact of launched features and releases with pre/post analysis, and flag regressions in funnel performance or tracking quickly.
- Triage and manage the day-to-day intake of feature requests, bugs, and issues flagged by stakeholders, partner teams, and QA, and refine the backlog as it aligns to top-level business priorities.
- Partner with engineering teams to analyze root cause of reported issues, including analytics tagging gaps that affect measurement, and track fixes through resolution while keeping stakeholders updated on status.
- Support user acceptance testing and release readiness by defining and verifying acceptance criteria, coordinating testing efforts across partner teams, and managing go/no-go checklists ahead of launches.
- Maintain clear product documentation of requirements, test plans, decisions, and processes in Confluence and Jira.
What we’re looking for
- 3-5 years of experience as a product manager in a consumer facing product role at a large enterprise company, with hands-on experience owning conversion rate optimization for an e-commerce or checkout funnel.
- Prior Product Manager experience in the Cruise industry is highly preferred (prior travel, hospitality or e-commerce is preferred also)
- A track record of designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests, with examples of measurable conversion improvements you drove.
- Solid grasp of experimentation statistics: statistical significance and power, sample size, confidence intervals, and common pitfalls such as peeking, novelty effects, and sample ratio mismatch.
- Hands-on experience with web analytics and experimentation tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Optimizely, Adobe Target, or similar) and digital experience tools such as Quantum Metric.
- Fluency with data analytics and using data to identify and prioritize issues, not just report on them. SQL or comfort pulling your own data is a plus.
- Working familiarity with agile/Scrum practices and tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to coordinate confidently across multi-disciplinary and technical teams, and explain test results clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- AI native — skilled working with state-of-the-art AI tooling and interest in staying current with emerging technologies in this space.
