Job summary

LeoForce in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a seasoned NDT Technician to join our fast-paced aerospace and defense engineering team. The role focuses on nondestructive testing of materials and equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards without damage.

You will perform MT inspections, UT, radiography, and liquid penetrant methods, interpret results, develop inspection plans, maintain records, calibrate equipment, and mentor junior staff while upholding safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of NDT Technician experience, MT inspection.
• Certification in Nondestructive Testing from a recognized institution.
• Strong knowledge of NDT methods, practices, and equipment.
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, specifications and procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nondestructive testing (NDT) methods like Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, Radiography, and Liquid Penetrant to inspect materials and equipment.
• Interpret and analyze test results, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
• Develop, organize, and execute detailed inspection plans and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections and testing, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with engineering to meet product requirements.
• Maintain, calibrate, and ensure proper working order of all testing equipment.
• Stay updated on developments in NDT methods and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff.
