Herc Rentals in Deer Park, TX seeks a Mechanic B to perform preventive maintenance and intermediate diagnostics on the fleet, under supervision of Shop Lead.

You will diagnose cooling and electrical systems, repair and replace components, enter work orders, and mentor Mechanic C technicians while ensuring safety and readiness of equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Owns a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in all Mechanic C-level tasks.
• Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems; ability to read schematics.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a consistent preventative maintenance schedule on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch.
• Diagnose and repair cooling, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect engines, belts, hoses, and all major systems for wear and leaks.
• Enter and review work orders and complete part ordering via the fleet management system.
• Assist shop lead with customer damage estimates and repairs.
• Provide timely service reports and repair logs and mentor Mechanic C technicians.
