This position reports to the BDS Manufacturing Engineering Capability and the selected individuals will have the opportunity to support multiple BDS ME Home Office Functional Initiatives such as Work Instruction Improvement, ME Upskilling, and other Technical Excellence activities impacting ME People, Processes, & Tools. The ideal candidates will have strong balance between technical skills, and strength in communications, presentation, creativity, vision, and work ethic.
Region: Various BDS sites: Albuquerque, NM, Arlington, VA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas, TX, El Segundo, CA, Houston, TX, Huntington Beach, CA, Huntsville, AL, Kennedy Space Center, FL, Mesa, AZ, New Orleans, LA, Oklahoma City, OK, Palmdale, CA, Ridley Park, PA, San Antonio, TX, St. Charles, IL, and West Hills, CA. The position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer; Strong understanding of BDS production program requirements, standards, and specifications; Demonstrated proficiency in developing process plans (2D/3D) and standard operating procedures; Demonstrated mentoring and training experience related to ME processes; Experience in both assembly and fabrication environments including disciplines in electrical, structural, mechanical, systems, functional test; Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies; Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Typical Summary pay range: $79,050 - $150,650. Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
