Job Overview:
An established law firm is seeking a mid-level litigation associate to support its growing complex litigation practice, with a particular focus on pharmaceutical and medical device cases involving Daubert and Rule 702 motions. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, analytical, and case development skills and experience handling complex legal arguments in high-stakes matters. This position is well-suited for an attorney with solid litigation experience looking to take on substantive responsibilities and leadership roles within a collaborative legal team.
Location:
Duties:
Communicate with clients regarding litigation strategies, developments, and case status
Supervise junior associates and guide case workflow
Collaborate with experts and manage expert discovery
Assist in factual investigation, including interviews and depositions
Draft and review discovery responses, legal memoranda, motions, and briefs
Participate in the development of litigation strategy and legal arguments
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably from an AmLaw 100 firm
Demonstrated experience handling Daubert and Rule 702 motions
Background in product liability or mass tort litigation preferred
Familiarity with pharmaceutical or medical device litigation is a plus
Ability to manage complex litigation independently and collaboratively
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized institution
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the jurisdiction of application
Admission to the New York bar encouraged
