Base pay range

$55,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

About the Opportunity

Asakura Robinson is seeking a mid-level landscape designer to join our team with a focus on community-based and public-facing projects. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, mission-driven designer who demonstrates strong design acumen, solid technical skills, and a deep interest in working with historically underserved communities and sustainable environmental and social ecosystems.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
  • 3–6 years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software (SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, etc.).
  • Strong graphic communication and conceptual design skills.
  • Working knowledge of landscape design and construction; technically proficient with experience in construction documentation and detailing.
  • Experience in community engagement, participatory design, or public realm projects is a strong plus.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in public presentations and interviews.
  • Licensure or on track for licensure is desirable.
Additional Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM), Bluebeam, and GIS mapping.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

Job Requirements
  • Ability to travel: local project-related travel as required, including project-related site visits.*
  • Work a minimum of eight hours per day, five days per week.
  • Sit or stand at a desk for extended periods.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Be able to walk and move around at job sites.
  • Be able to kneel, crouch, or stoop to position oneself to see different areas of project sites.
