Job summary

Thomas Young Group, a design-focused landscape architecture practice in New York, seeks an experienced professional to contribute across all project stages, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on parks, waterfronts, streetscapes and civic spaces.

You will refine concepts through delivery, coordinating with consultants and clients, preparing drawings and presentations, and participating in design reviews while taking on increasing management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of landscape architecture experience.
• Degree in Landscape Architecture.
• New York licensure or working toward accreditation.
• Experience from concept through to delivery.
• Strong design, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office.
• Experience with Rhino, SketchUp, or Lumion is a plus.
• Public or civic project experience is a plus.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the design and delivery of projects across multiple stages
• Preparing drawings, presentations, and technical documentation
• Coordinating with consultants, clients, and internal teams
• Taking part in design reviews and studio discussions
• Supporting project management and taking on more responsibility over time

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in landscape architecture or a related field
• A degree in Landscape Architecture
• NY licensure, or currently working towards accreditation
• Experience working from concept through to delivery
• Strong design, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and 3D modeling tools such as Rhino, SketchUp, or Lumion
• Public or civic project experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Revit, BIM workflows, planting design, or hand sketching is a plus
