Job summary

SAIC is seeking a mid-level Java Developer with cloud experience to join our Ashburn, VA team. The role involves hands-on Java backend development, REST microservices, and Angular front-end work within an Agile environment.

The position requires on-site presence in Ashburn, VA for four days per week during the first year, with potential hybrid options thereafter. Citizenship and clearance eligibility are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 5+ years of related technical experience.
• 5+ years of strong Java JEE design and software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud applications using serverless hosted services like AWS Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and unit test REST microservices with Java, Spring, and JUnit.
• Develop web applications with Angular that communicate with backend microservices.
• Write complex SQL queries and perform data modeling.
• Participate in CI/CD processes and Agile practices.
• Mentor junior team members and assist with architecture and testing.
