Job summary

SAIC is seeking a motivated Mid-Level Software Engineer in Ashburn, VA for a hybrid-remote role (2 days on-site). The position emphasizes .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, Vue.js, and AWS, with PostgreSQL integration and CI/CD using Jenkins and GitLab.

You will contribute to Agile ceremonies, design and implement middleware and web services, and document software architecture. DHS Public Trust clearance is a prerequisite or contingent upon obtaining one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field plus five or more years of software development experience.
• Experience building and maintaining multi-threaded applications and web services.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain DHS Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as an integral member of an Agile software development team.

SAICis currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our team in Ashburn, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC Federal Systems.

This is a hybrid-remote position requiring 2 days on site per week in Ashburn, VA.

Responsibilities

• Active member of the agile software development team participating in all Program Increment and Sprint ceremonies.
• Design and develop .Net applications including middleware applications, user interface applications (java script framework), and web services applications.
• Develop and integrate with PostgreSQL server databases.
• Develop software design documentation which may include design diagrams, data flow diagrams, software module descriptions, etc.
• Use Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools to include Microsoft Visual Studio and GIT
• Manage software testing activities to include data setup, defect troubleshooting and resolution.
• Provide Tier 3 / 4 engineering support, as needed, for solutions deployed to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a directly related field and five (5) years or more experience
• 5+ years of experience in software development/engineering.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust security clearance prior to starting.
• Middleware and User interface driven applications.
• Web Services development.
• Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Multi-threaded applications; Exception handling.
• Integration with hardware devices and vendor Software development Kits (SDKs).
• Ability to work in team environments across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders.

BI Requirement

• Current holder of a DHS Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Note: Employment will be contingent upon having/obtaining a DHS Public Trust clearance prior to starting.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
