Job summary

Coforge is hiring a Mid-Level Java Engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SQL in a remote setting.

You will collaborate with a global team, implement features and fixes, participate in the full software lifecycle, write tests, review code, maintain docs, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency and quality. Experience with AWS and microservices is a plus; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Java (Java 17+ preferred).
• Experience of Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Hibernate / JPA.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL) and basic exposure to NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Familiarity containers such as Docker and AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3, RDS).
• Familiarity with GenAI practices, including prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc).
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
