Job summary

Coforge is hiring a Senior AI Agent Engineer to design and deploy next-generation AI agents. You will develop prompts, tool interfaces, and orchestration workflows, while ensuring robust grounding, citations, and guardrails.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and software development experience.
• Experience in developing generative AI, AI assistants, or agent-based apps.
• Strong Python skills and REST API/cloud services integration.
• Experience deploying secure, enterprise-grade applications.

Responsibilities

• Build agents with Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, or approved frameworks.
• Prototype rapidly and validate with business users.
• Develop prompts, tool definitions, routing, and orchestration workflows.
• Implement grounding, citation, retrieval, and guardrails with human review.
• Integrate agents with enterprise tools and APIs.
• Create automated evaluations and optimize quality, latency, reliability, observability, and cost.
• Support production troubleshooting and continuous agent improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build agents using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, or other approved frameworks, including Python-based frameworks where appropriate.
• Build or coordinate rapid prototypes and validate them with business users.
• Develop prompts, instructions, tool definitions, routing, and orchestration workflows.
• Implement grounding, citation, retrieval, context management, guardrails, and human-review patterns.
• Integrate agents with enterprise tools and APIs.
• Create automated evaluations and optimize answer quality, latency, reliability, observability, and cost.
• Support production troubleshooting, monitoring, feedback loops, and continuous agent improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
• Software development experience.
• Experiencedeveloping generative AI, AI assistant, or agent-based applications.
• Strong Python skills and experience integrating REST APIs and cloud services.
• Experience deploying secure, testable enterprise applications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio.
• Experience with Semantic Kernel, MCP, multi-agent systems, or comparable orchestration frameworks.
• Experience implementing RAG, evaluation pipelines, citations, and tool-use controls.
• Azure AI Engineer or related certification.
