A nationally recognized law firm is actively seeking a mid-level associate attorney with 3–5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, particularly in patent and trade secret disputes involving hard technologies. Location
Duties
- Litigate complex patent and trade secret disputes across various industries
- Draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings, and contribute to trial strategy
- Conduct technical and legal research related to complex technologies
- Participate in depositions, expert witness preparation, and discovery efforts
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy and execution
- Mentor junior associates when applicable and contribute to team growth
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, including patent and/or trade secret matters
- Experience handling technically complex cases, preferably in federal court
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and lead aspects of litigation independently
- Strong business and legal judgment in fast-paced environments
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant state of the office location
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (required), such as:
- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering
- Mathematics
- Physics
Certifications
- Admission in good standing to the state bar where the candidate will be practicing
