A leading law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Investment Funds group. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, providing legal support for domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. The position offers the flexibility of hybrid work and is available in multiple office locations. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and a strong academic background, with the ability to handle secondary transactions, structuring separately managed accounts, and structuring carry vehicles.
Location:
Duties:
- Advise clients on the formation and investments in private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
- Assist with secondary transactions and structuring carry vehicles.
- Provide counsel on structuring separately managed accounts.
- Conduct legal research and draft investment-related documents.
- Collaborate with clients and senior attorneys to design strategic legal solutions.
- Manage client relationships and provide timely updates.
- Assist in business development efforts by participating in client meetings and presentations.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment funds law.
- Strong background in the formation of and investment in private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
- Experience with secondary transactions and structuring separately managed accounts is preferred.
- Experience in structuring carry vehicles is a plus.
- Previous experience in an AmLaw 100 firm is preferred.
- Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of employment.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active bar membership in the jurisdiction of employment.
