Job summary

MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking a senior insider threat and cybersecurity professional for a full-time on-site role in Germantown, MD.

The position supports NNSA Insider Protection and related groups, focusing on policy development, data access strategies, and risk mitigation across DOE ITP responsibilities. The candidate will coordinate with stakeholders, assess resources, and ensure consistent contractor responsibilities across sites, while complying with clearance requirements and program

Qualifications

  • 7 years’ experience in cybersecurity or security-related field.
  • 1 year experience supporting a federal agency or cleared federal contractor Insider Threat program.
  • Within 1 year obtain CERT Insider Threat Program Manager Certificate, CERT Insider Risk Management Measures of Effectiveness Certificate, and Certified Counter-Insider Threat Professional (Fundamentals & Analysis).
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar credential may be substituted for 4 years of experience.
  • Active Q or TS clearance w/ SCI eligibility or Favorably adjudicated Tier V personnel security background investigation not more than 4.5 years from proposed entry onto contract

Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Collects and analyzes policy and disparate information to assist NNSA Insider Protection Program Manager and NNSA Local Insider Threat Working Groups in preventing, detecting, and responding to insider activity in accordance with DOE and national Level insider threat guidance.
  • Formulates NNSA policy positions to provide NNSA enterprise-wide insider threat risk mitigation strategies to better integrate DOE ITP responsibilities, ensuring that the DSO can centrally manage all aspects of the ITP. Develops strategies for accessing data for insider threat analysis from multiple sources.
  • Developing processes to track actions taken in response to findings and recommendations NNSA ITP receives from independent assessments and provide coordinate NNSA input to DOE ITP annual reports to include actions ITP has taken to address program assessment findings and recommendation NNSA ICW with contracting officers, to ensure contractor specific ITP responsibilities are clearly stated and consistently applied across sites.
  • Work with ITP stakeholders to assess the programs human, financial and technical resources and make recommendations identify all departmental resources that support the ITP.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7 years’ experience in cybersecurity or security related field
  • 1 years’ experience supporting a federal agency or cleared federal contractor Insider Threat program

LOCATION: This is a full-time on-site position in Germantown, MD with 20% travel.

SALARY:Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. The salary range for this position is $150K to $165K.
