Job summary

INTERA Incorporated in Sacramento, CA seeks a mid-level Water Resources Engineer/Scientist to support groundwater investigations, water quality monitoring, and water supply evaluations. You will collaborate with hydrogeologists, engineers, data scientists, geochemists, and GIS specialists on multidisciplinary projects.

The role offers fieldwork opportunities, mentoring from licensed professionals, and pathways for professional licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Water Resources Engineering, or related field eligible for PE/PG licensure.
• Professional registration or the desire/ability to obtain PE/PG (EIT/GIT)

Responsibilities

• Support groundwater investigations, water supply evaluations, aquifer characterization, recharge assessments, and hydrologic monitoring.
• Plan and participate in groundwater and surface water sampling, monitoring well installation, field data collection, and QA/QC procedures.
• Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and study work plans under supervision of senior engineers/geologists.
• Collaborate with hydrogeologists, engineers, data scientists, geochemists, and GIS specialists.
