Castalia Systems in Washington, DC is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to develop, integrate, test, and maintain software capabilities from requirements through production delivery. You’ll work across the technology stack and collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable software solutions.

You will build backend services and RESTful APIs, work with frontend frameworks like React/Angular, and participate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years with Python, Java, or similar OO language.
• 2+ years of frontend development using React or Angular.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Jira usage.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services, APIs, and data integrations.
• Create and maintain frontend capabilities within existing architectures.
• Participate in design reviews, troubleshoot issues, and improve software quality.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to adopt new tools and techniques.
