Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator in the United States to support the preparation of project estimates. You will review plans and specifications to produce accurate quantity take-offs, enter pricing, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for outsource pricing.

You will develop budgets and purchasing plans with minimal oversight, contribute to estimating deliverables, and assist in conceptual estimating with senior staff. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with quantity take-offs and pricing from plans and specs.
• Ability to develop basic models and budgets for projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% or less.
• Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Produces accurate quantity take-offs by reviewing plans and specs.
• Enter take-offs and unit pricing for estimates.
• Coordinate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Develop budgets and purchasing plans with limited oversight.
• Support conceptual estimating and development of basic models.
• Coordinate document flow during estimate preparation.
• Provide administrative logging of estimates.
