Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level Equipment Engineer to support programs in Mesa, Arizona. You will develop, implement, and optimize equipment and tooling for aerospace manufacturing, collaborating across design, production, and maintenance teams on the shop floor and in the office.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You will work 100% onsite with opportunities to influence tooling and manufacturing processes on world‑class aerospace platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field; non-US equivalents acceptable.
  • 5+ years of Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years in engineering, manufacturing or production environments.
  • Experience with machine integration or equipment engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and implements engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Creates specifications, purchase requests, and usage instructions for equipment.
  • Resolves technical problems that would significantly affect performance, cost or schedule.
  • Develops and maintains the program architecture for build.
  • Develops and implements cost effective and improved processes for Lean production and equipment methodologies.
  • Coordinate all necessary resources to troubleshoot equipment failures to find root cause and implement the solution.
  • Lead communications with other equipment maintenance team members and equipment users.
  • Work with outside vendors for specialist advice and arrange for service support where necessary.
  • Assesses process capabilities on the equipment definition at a team level.
  • Assesses equipment design features for manufacturability and reviews geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Assists in providing input to the program plan to ensure producibility activities and deliverables are incorporated.
  • Manage and steer all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support EH&S requirements and programs.
  • Coordinate with Design, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement.
  • Travel to suppliers as needed
