Job summary

SMP Engineering, Inc is seeking a Mechanical/Automation Engineer (Mid-Level) for its Glendale, CA facility. Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Experience delivering products from concept to low-volume production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical/automation systems and components.
• Create detailed drawings and specs using CAD (SolidWorks), PLCs, HMIs, Python, LABVIEW.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and machinist teams; oversee prototype development and validation.
• Improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.
