Riverside Research seeks a mid-level Embedded Hardware Security Research Engineer to work with USAF/DoD partners on tamper-protected microelectronics and IP development. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Cybersecurity Engineering, Physics or Math with 5 years direct experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with no experience.
• Extensive experience developing IP with Verilog, VHDL, or SystemC.
• Experience programming microcontrollers or microprocessors; security features of FPGAs/ASICs.

Responsibilities

• Performs research supporting assessment of attack effectiveness against microelectronic devices.
• Supports development of hardware algorithms for secure devices (MCUs, FPGAs).
• Analyzes secure architectures to identify vulnerabilities.
• Documents progress, timelines, and reports on projects.
