Job summary

Carollo Engineers is a leading water-focused engineering firm with a long-standing history in design for water, wastewater, and related systems. This role focuses on electrical power systems for treatment facilities, requiring domain expertise and client-facing communication.

We seek an experiencedElectrical Engineer with PE registration and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering to contribute to design, calculations, and project execution in the Phoenix area.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering
• PE registration is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Familiarity with power system applications (short-circuit, voltage drop, harmonics, power factor)
• Field investigative and start-up experience
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 820 and NESC
• Familiarity with the IEEE color book series
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to interact positively with clients

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical power systems design for water/wastewater facilities with supervision from a Senior Level Electrical Engineer
• Perform load calculations, conduit routing, motor control center and switchgear design, and prepare specifications

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater treatment facilities with minimum supervision by a Senior Level Electrical Engineer
• Perform load calculations, detailed conduit routing, motor control center and switchgear design, and specification generation

Qualifications

• 6 to 12 years experience working in Electrical Engineering
• PE registration required
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Familiarity with power system applications, including calculation of available short circuit current, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and power factor
• Field investigative and start-up experience
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 820 and NESC
• Familiarity with the IEEE color book series
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
• Have the ability to interact positively with clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Compensation Range

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
