Job summary

i3 seeks a Mid Level Electrical Engineer to support circuit board development and military system modernization efforts. Responsibilities span research, design, development, integration, and testing of circuit boards and electrical components across software, firmware, and analog/digital domains.

You will work with engineers, technicians, and customers in a fast-paced environment, performing design analyses, PCB/PCBA work, and system-level integration while pursuing a Secret clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience with circuit/PCB/PCBA design and analysis.
• Experience with FPGA design and embedded processors.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document existing circuit boards and firmware, develop architecture blocks and interfaces for system integration.
• Develop robust software, firmware, and hardware solutions including PCB/PCBA design, DSP/embedded components, and FPGA logic.
• Create replacement board architectures, schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, fabrication and assembly files.
• Conduct technical trade studies, evaluate technology improvements, and apply DSP and communication protocol knowledge.
• Coordinate with fabrication vendors and support board bring-up, testing, and integration in aircraft/system contexts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet technical, operational, cost, and schedule requirements.
