Job summary

DS2 seeks a mid-level Electrical Engineer to design power systems for aerospace and defense applications in a security-cleared environment. You will develop low-noise PDNs, interface architectures, and SWaP-conscious layouts, applying MIL-STD requirements and MOSA guidelines.

Candidates should have 6–10 years in hardware/power electronics, DC-DC/AC-DC topologies, and EDA tool proficiency; open architectures and modular engineering are preferred. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 6–10 years of hardware design, power electronics, or electrical system integration in defense/aerospace.
• Hands‑on with DC-DC/AC-DC converter topologies, switching regulators, rigid-flex PCB layout, and filtering circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design low-noise multi-rail power distribution networks (PDNs) and power conditioning for aerospace or defense systems.
• Build electrical interfaces that support MOSA guidelines for easy component swaps and upgrades.
• Optimize layouts to meet SWaP constraints for airborne/mobile platforms.
• Ensure designs comply with MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-461.
• Use EDA tools to simulate power integrity, thermal, and signal integrity for multi-layer PCBAs.
• Author/test hardware verification plans and execute tests under harsh environments.
