Job Description

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a qualified candidate to provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects.

Responsibilities and Requirements

1. Knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout, and related activities.
2. Good working knowledge of the NEC and related codes.
3. Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and contractors.
4. Serve as the lead electrical engineer on projects, supervising less experienced staff and coordinating with clients and other engineers.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; Revit BIM software and SKM and/or ETAP power systems software are desirable.
6. Prior project leadership experience is preferred.
7. Experience with instrumentation and control systems, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs, is a plus.
8. 7-11 years of experience in electrical engineering and design within water/wastewater or similar heavy industrial industries.
9. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
10. Professional Engineering License is mandatory.
