Ryder in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles on a 2:30 pm–11:00 pm second shift, Monday–Friday with weekends off, offering weekly pay and strong benefits. This role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and customer service to drivers.

Experience with diesel engines, basic tools, and a CDL Class A is preferred; company provides state-of-the-art diagnostics, training, and opportunities for bonuses and career

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Conducts standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems with diagnostic tools as applicable.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components and assists with facility maintenance as needed.
• Interacts with drivers to determine the nature of the complaint and plan tasks.
