Job summary

ZipStaff Inc. is seeking a Mid DevOps Engineer to own release pipelines and Azure PaaS delivery for a major grocery/retail client. You will migrate pipelines to GitHub Actions, automate deployments, and build self-service templates.

This is a build-and-automate role with night releases 2-3 nights per week. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of DevOps experience, strong scripting skills, and proficiency in .NET/Java/Node.js environments.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in DevOps, release engineering, or cloud engineering with software fundamentals.
• Azure PaaS: Function Apps, App Service, networking, Key Vault.
• GitHub Actions plus Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Release engineering across teams with shared dependencies.
• Production deployments for .NET, Maven, Java, Node.js, or TypeScript.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Ability to build, run, and debug apps in C#/.NET, Java, Node.js, or TS.
• Willing to support night releases 2-3 nights per week.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute releases across teams.
• Build and improve automated deployment paths for Azure PaaS.
• Migrate pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions and create templates.
• Develop GitHub Actions CI/CD for secure, repeatable delivery.
• Write scripts to remove manual steps (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Create self-service templates for repos, pipelines, and containers.
• Support night releases 2-3 nights per week and troubleshoot builds.
• Contribute documentation and guardrails for security and reliability.
