Mod Op is seeking a Mid-Level Data Engineer to build and run data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on telecommunications data for marketing analytics.

You'll work with BigQuery, write SQL and Python, support data migrations, and link outputs to Salesforce, Adobe, and AJO, collaborating with senior engineers and domain leads in a fast-paced agency environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of data engineering or analytics experience.
• Strong knowledge of GCP with BigQuery experience.
• Proficient SQL skills, including joins and window functions.
• Python skills for data pipelines and automation.
• Experience with telecommunications or subscriber data.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain batch and scheduled data pipelines on GCP, moving data into BigQuery.
• Write and optimize SQL for transformations, reporting datasets, and validation checks.
• Write Python for data ingestion, automation, and data quality checks.
• Support data migrations, validating migrated data against source systems.
• Work with telecoms data (customer, product, campaigns) and document definitions.
• Connect pipeline outputs to marketing platforms (Salesforce, Adobe, AJO).
• Troubleshoot failed jobs and data issues; keep runbooks up to date.
• Contribute to team training and capstone projects on marketing domain knowledge.
• SQL for analytics and transformations.
• Python for pipelines, automation, and data quality checks.
• Telecommunications data concepts (wireline/wireless products, lifecycle).
• Salesforce, Adobe, AJO at the data-integration level.

About the role

The Mid-Level Data Engineer builds and runs data pipelines and analytics on Google Cloud Platform. This person works mainly on telecommunications data, such as wireline and wireless customer and marketing data, and turns it into reliable datasets for marketing and analytics teams. The role works day to day with senior engineers and the marketing domain leads.

Qualifications

Required

• 3 to 5 years of data engineering or analytics experience
• Working knowledge of GCP, especially BigQuery
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, and performance tuning
• Working Python skills for data pipelines and scripting
• Experience with telecommunications or similar subscriber data

Nice to have

• Experience with data migrations, such as Teradata to BigQuery
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Adobe, AJO, or other CRM and CDP platforms
• Interest in marketing analytics and campaign measurement
• Experience with Google Analytics or web-based marketing data
